my most favorite picture i’ve ever taken. ever.
4 / 21 / 2010LOVE this shot.
Lemme set the scene: On top of Haleakala. It’s about 35 degrees with 30+ MPH winds blowing CONSTANTLY.
We’re outside, waiting for and then finally watching the sunrise.
And most everyone else?
NOT freezing their asses off, hanging out inside the little building.
In other words, NOT experiencing LIFE.
Anyway, anyway, anyway – do you see the sunrise reflecting in the glass?
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

(and you should all be super proud of me because I did this ALL. BY. MYSELF.)
(In case you didn’t know, I’m camera challenged just like I’m math challenged)
Oh. Ok. There’s this one, too.
But I like it second best.

I must agree, they’re both good. But I like the first one because it seems far more spontaneous AND I like that there’s so much going on. Look at the expressions on everyone’s faces.
Beautiful!! You know I love me a good picture. Proud of you for risking the skin of your ass for a good shot.
Oh yeah, #1 is, well number 1.
I’m willing to bet that you are the only one who got that shot, everyone else was busy looking the other direction. Good job!
wow girl, that first shot, great stuff! no need for tim or yourself to make fun of your photo skills anymore
I’d be outside too, because taking photos through glass sucks.
Sunrise’s and sunsets. My favorite type of pic. Kudos for getting a different view. I dig it.
Beautiful!
Samm: hi! I miss you, my down under friend!! I totally agree. I actually have a few from the trip I took through the front windshield…and my reflection is in the picture. Which? Shitty.
Angelia: yay! Also? You are rockin with your nikon! Wow!
Toadmamma: I know! That’s what I love, too! The randomness…I like to guess what everyone is thinking.
That’s fantastic! I LOVE the first picture, the juxtaposition of the inside people wrapped up in blankets and the outside people in coats is brilliant! And the reflected sunrise showing what exactly they are all looking at/photographing!
Pixielation: yay! Thank you! I’m so proud…of my random self
