I swear I’m not *trying* to procrastinate more than I already have with all of those draft-posts-to-turn-into-published-posts (though I’m sure you’ve all long forgotten that at this point, anyway. Which is kind of what happened to me and the reason I have so many drafts in the first place…). It’s just…
Well….
The thing is…..
I mean, other than, you know, the celebration of the birth of Jesus turned Hallmark holiday……there’s been this other thing that’s been, well, ÜBER DISTRACTING.
And it almost trumps everything else going on….no, strike that. It definitely trumps everything else.
Even Christmas.
(yes, EVEN. CHRISTMAS)
So, I semi-apologize for my randomness and lack of whatever…gusto or something.
But, you have to understand….
WE’RE CLOSING ON….AND MOVING INTO….OUR NEW HOUSE
THIS
WEEK
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I’m going to do something totally different for the next seven(ish?) days.
This week?
This week is picture week.
ALL.
WEEK.
LONG.
Welcome to what really goes on in my life.
FOR. REALS.
*****************
We gingerbread-housed ourselves (which, if you follow me on Twitter or Face place, this is old news….but a better picture)
I made the snowman.
And the “B”
Tim…..did mostly everything else.
So, technically, it’s really his house that I laid claim to.
And, since Tim has been home from work for the past few days (yay! I have a husband, again!), we’ve been wearing Maddie and Lexi’s asses out at the park near our godforsaken apartment complex (ONE. MORE. WEEK!).
We have one of those ball flinger things that – if used correctly - can launch a ball half the length of a football field. Lexi lives for fetching….Maddie doesn’t fetch. Ever. She’s “too good” for fetch. We’ll throw the ball all, “Maddie! Go on! Go get it!” And she’ll look at us with her snout in the air all, “Why? So you can throw it away…AGAIN? HELL. NO. Get it yourself.”
So, really, we’re just wearing Lexi out.
Mostly so she doesn’t eat her jingle bells.
If you read my last post, then you know we went on a walk through in our new house last week. And the walk through that should have lasted about an hour took us two-and-a-half hours because Tim and I made the dude put dots on EVERYTHING.
Anyway, go and catch up on the dotting if you want, but, what I’m really getting at here is that we were early to the walk through, so we drove around the neighborhood to check it all out for the 35th time.
Annnnnnnnnnd BLAM!
Whatever prize it is, they win.
Because, seriously, after the first two snow globes, I’m pretty sure we all REALLY BELIEVE THAT YOU LOVE CHRISTMAS.
But after the snowman lollypop ground light thingys all over the damn place and Santa waving from the center of your house plus Santa breaking into the window and the carousel and the seventeen other inflatable whatevers plus the ones that aren’t even inflated and are just laying there out of commission for no other reason except you probably ran out of electricity to power them?
Let me just say, if *I* were Santa?
I’d totally skip you, since it looks like you already have the *entire* holiday pretty much under control.
For the entire neighborhood.
Also, one word: Intervention.
(And let me just say, this person doesn’t live near us…THANK. YOU. JESUS.)
(If they did? Well, whoever it was that happened to shoot flaming arrows into the reindeers’ asses? Wasn’t me)
On a less tackier note, this is our view during the drive towards our house.
Enough. Said.
And this is what we see as we turn onto the road to our new neighborhood…our house is somewhere back there…somewhere…to the left…probably behind all of the other houses you can actually see.
And I could sit there, on that road, staring at that view, all day long.
LOVE. THE. MOUNTAINS.
Oh! We went to the first-ever party with Tim’s new work peoples. The party was awesome.
And this was my outfit.
I was super pumped about that outfit.
Oh…and if you’re new here (which….well, it could happen, right?…new people who find booshy…?) or maybe if you forgot, this is our soon-to-be house (minus grass…since apparently that stuff doesn’t exactly make it through the winter in Colorado)
SO.
EXCITED!
Who wants more pictures?
Because this is our back patio + walkway + Tim!
And the almost finished kitchen!
And the almost finished laundry room!
What?
I like this laundry room.
The door is getting a special knob.
Like, an Alice and Wonderland kind of knob.
By the way….does anyone know where one may obtain one such knob?

I. LOVE. the kitchen. I want an island in my kitchen SO SO SO bad.
Also, love the outfit
Merry (day after) Christmas!
I love your house! And your view! Very nice (totally refrained from using another exclamation point). I’m excited for you both and all the fur kids. Your outfit is smoking.
The new house is so pretty and the view is amazing! I can’t wait to get updated pictures from when you get moved in and all that fun stuff. I think this kind of update (and picture week in general) are worth breaking the posting of unfinished previous posts.

I just sat and clapped repeatedly through this post for you…I am so excited about the house and the viiieewwww….will you guys marry me??? I want that view.. I have no such thing.
